Toronto Blue Jais acquired right -handed Robinson Pina from Miami Marlins on Wednesday.
Marlins received a modest league pitcher Kolby Martin in exchange for Pina, which was given the option for Triple-e Buffalo.
26 -year -old Pina surrendered a single homer in an innings against Atlanta Braves in his MLB debut on Friday. He was nominated for assignments the next day.
It is 4-3 with 3.47 ERA in 13 shows (11 start) with Triple-e Jacksonville this season.
Martin is 0–1 with 24, 1.54 ERA and there is five savings in 21 relief appearances between Kam-a Dunedin and High-A Vancouver this season.
