Shubman Gill once again argued with the umpire during the IPL clash during the rains. Reason…




Gujarat’s Titans won a significant victory over Mumbai Indians in their last IPL 2025 match at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. The match, which was marrying with rain, saw GT victorious by three wickets (DLS method) and claimed the top position on the points table. It was asked to bat first, MI posted 155/8, Will Jack scored 53 runs in 35 balls. Later, the match was stopped several times due to rain. The winning of the 19th over required 15 runs to win, GT went in line on the last ball.

During this match, GT skipper Shubman Gill had another hot moment with umpires, as later refused to accept his request to stop the game due to rain. In the third over of GT’s chase, it began to drip a little, but the umpires insisted on continuing the players.

As Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl in the third over, Gill asked him to wait and went straight to the umpire and expressed his inconvenience while batting. The umpires asked Gill to go back to the crease as the rain was quite light and the game could be continued.
