Rajasthan Royals (RR) assistant coach Dishant Yagnik has claimed that Village Villibhav was under pressure to bat during the match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Thursday, scoring a record-bracing century in the last match. The 14 -year -old Suryavanshi, who scored a 35 -ball century against Gujarat Titans, was dismissed by MI for a two -ball duck during RR’s 100 -run loss. Speaking after the match, Yaganik insisted that Suryavanshi is very mature for his age, and his failure against MI has nothing to do with media pressure.

“No, I don’t think so (even if Suryavanshi was under pressure). He is very mature for a 14-year-old child. When you are facing 140 km/h delivery, media pressure does not cross your brain. You just try to express yourself with the bat. Sometimes, the same shot that makes you out of a limit.

Asked about the difference between last year’s star-stodged team and the relatively young and inexperienced side of this edition, Yaganik replied, “There is a great point in your question about Star (players). Whenever a new player comes, he is not a star, but he is built in one.” He said at the post -match media conference, “Last year, when those players entered the team, they were not stars, but they became stars and now the players who have met us in the team, we will make them stars. We do not buy superstars, we make superstars and this is our tagline,” they said at the post -match media conference.

Royals were in dispute for a final berth last year before finishing third on the table with 17 points out of 14 sports.

RR, who has only six points out of 11 games, is out of the playoff race after loss to MI.
