Kohli does not get support from Test retirement on Kaif

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif believes that the move to retire from Virat Kohli’s tests may stems from internal talks with BCCI. The pre-Indian captain surprised everyone earlier this week, which went away from the longest format of the game by following the footsteps of Rohit Sharma. The India cricket team will now go to the new WTC cycle without the services of the experienced pair of Ro-Co.

BCCI behind Kohli’s retirement?

Speaking to the news agency IANS, Kaif said that the selectors cited their recent form to tell them that they no longer had a place in the team. He said that Kohli was forced to take a decision as he did not get support from the BCCI, which he felt that he would do. Kaif said that no one would know that Virat actually called it a day from the test.

,I think he wanted to continue in the format. There would have been some internal interaction with the BCCI, the selectors may have cited their form in the last 5-6 years and they said that they could not be located in the team anymore.
