OK Players for Flag Football at NFL owner ’28 Olympics

The owners of the NFL team unanimously voted in favor of allowing players to compete in flag football at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
“This is an incredible honor for any athlete to represent its country in the Olympics, which is the peak of the global game,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodll. “I first know by hand that the inclusion of flag football in the Olympics has increased a tremendous enthusiasm among NFL players interested in competing for his country on the world stage. We are thrilled that they will have that chance now.”
At least 24 of the owners of 32 teams need to vote in favor of resolution, which is the first step to bring professionals to the flag football ground in summer games. The next time the NFL Players Association and International Olympic Committee for the league are coming in the next stages.
The approval passed on Tuesday does not allow more than one player of each NFL team to participate in sports. This will also allow the nominated international player of a team to play for his country.
Under the proposed agreement, six male teams and six women teams will meet 10 players and compete in Los Angeles. The participation of NFL player will begin with a triangular or qualification process before the Olympic competition representing its national flag football team.
Lloyd Howell Jr., Executive Director of NFL Players Association, said, “The players have expressed a great desire to honor us in the Olympics, and we are excited that our members will be able to represent their country on the highest international platform.”
The NFL’s proposal included some caves that would protect the teams in the case of injuries, including providing salary cap credit for any player when participating and establishing “some minimum standards for medical staff and field surfaces”. ,
2028 Summer Games are scheduled to be held from July 14-30, 2028. NFL players typically stay away from mid -June until the beginning of the training camp in late July.
