Denver Nagets have been here first and want to avoid the same result. So Los Angeles Clippers.
A battle that began two weeks ago ended on Saturday night when Denver hosted Los Angeles for Game 7 of his Western Conference Quarter Final. The winner number 1 seed proceeds to take Oklahoma City.
Nugets are playing in their fourth game 7 since the 2019 posts, but they are not all pleasant memories. They are 2–1 in game 7 in that stretch, and the most recent experience was in the previous season when he blew up the second half of 20 points and in the second round faced an intestinal house loss for Minnesota.
Denver interim coach David Edelman said on Thursday, “We are going back to look at it, use it as a lesson.” “But this is now. It’s a separate team against which we are competing.”
The separate team has the Future Hall of Fames in James Harden and Kavi Leonard, both of them to clippers in Thursday’s 111–105 game 6 wins. Harden shook the average performance with 28 points in the last two matches, and Leonard had 27.
Prior to Thursday, Harden had not won an elimination game since NBA bubbles in Orlando in 2020 when he was with Houston, and has since been criticized for playing in the abolition games. This did not disturb his comrades.
“He is first here,” Leonard said about Harden. “People have sports where they do not play well during the season. This is just another game, so I knew that he was going to be able to come back, or he was going to be aggressive and trying to get his spots.”
The 35 -year -old Harden is ready to sit for only one minute in Thursday’s victory.
“Whatever the team needs, 47, 48, overtime, whatever – I will be ready to do it,” he said.
The first round game 7 has clippers 4–1, but the franchise has won one of them on the road since 1978. Los Angeles last played a game 7 in 2021, when he visited Dallas on the way for his first conference final in the first round.
Clippers coach Tyron Lew made a significant adjustment in the second half on Thursday that would probably take to Saturday. Lu started the big, more versatile Nicholas Battam in the third quarter. The 6 -Foot -8 giants had only six points, but they were able to protect the stars of Nugets Nikola Jokik and Jamal Murray, while presenting as a circumference threat, which allowed Harden and Leonard to attack the paint.
“Battam is a much better shooter than Krrish Dun,” Joke said while mentioning 6-3 guards. “Battam is a great defensive player. He can protect one through five. I don’t think they have a defensive deficiency (anything) with Battam. They are probably going to start her next game.”
This is the second time teams are playing a game 7. Denver won the first, which occurred in 2020 NBA bubble, to complete the return of 3–1 in the series. Leonard and Evika Juback were in that Los Angeles team; Jokik, Murray and Michael Porter are still the only nuggets on junior rosters.
