When Commissioner Roger Goodll called the name of Washington Quarterback Michael Penix Junior for Atlanta Falcons with eighth pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the eyebrows raised, typing and the music came to a stop.
Maybe the New Orleans Saints are preparing a similar tune with the number 9 pick in the draft on Thursday night?
According to CBS Sports, Ole Miss Quarterback Jackson Dart is a favorite possibility for saints. Some media pundits, even converted from NFL scouting roles, mentioned the dart as QB2 behind the Cafar ward, the prescribed number 1 pick of Tency Titans. Most did not consider dart as an alternative in the first round.
Insider Aditi Kinkbhala reported on Thursday that “the dart number 9 will not last from the pick and the Saints,” citing sources who considered the all -time passing leader of the rebels, will be selected before the Colorado Quarterback Sheer Sanders.
ESPN said that the monk cannot be the only team that is ready to dart his wagon.
New York veterans and Pittsburgh Steellers took the side of the dart as QB2 in the draft, stating that the veterans met several times with the dart and made additional trips to the campus to learn more about the dart as a person.
This will not be the first time that the veteran went to Ole Miss Marg to find a franchise quarterback. Longtime veteran quarterback Elli Manning, in 2004, was acquired in a business for the Philip Rivers involving Chargers, already publicly publicly supported the products of fellow rebels.
“I like Jackson Dart,” Maning said in January of QB category. “I have probably seen her more than anyone, just by watching Ole Miss Game. I have been around her and (she) has been a great child, has been in the same crime for three years and has been successful. He has been seen growing and progressing and feels that all are able to make throw.”
Dart attended the Maning Academy Passing Camp at High School and has been close to many in the Manning family. He said that his infection for the veterans and his crime would be “smooth” based on the same concepts employed by the head coach Lane Kiffin.
The draft history of New Orleans in Quarterback is diluted with a bold exception, just to be another manning through Ole Miss. Archie Manning was the number 2 pick in the draft of the monk in the 1971 draft, who has never chosen another passerby in the first round.
Saints Starter Derek is a team in infection under the first year head coach Kalen Moore with uncertainty around the health of the car. General Manager Mickey Lumis said at a pre-draft press conference on Wednesday that the monk may not have complete clarity on the deadline to return to the ground before the car’s shoulder injury or draft.
Dart led SEC with 4,279 passing yards and in 2024 there were 29 Touchdown passes and six interception. He passed a total of 10,617 yards in three sessions with Ole Miss and a career in a southern California. He was the first time in the nation at a distance of yards per attempt with 10.8, making him a candidate to appoint Moore’s play-ball dependent scheme.
