Number 6 LSU Sweep No 13 Coastal Carolina for 8th MCWS title

Chris Stanfield and Derek Curiel had two runs singles and Reliever Chase Shore closed the door as LSU defeated the coastal Carolina 5-3 on Sunday afternoon at Omaha, Neb to complete the two-game sweep of the men’s college world series championship series.

Number 6 Tigers (53–15) won their eighth MCWS title in less than 24 hours after defeating number 13 Chanticals (56-13)-he won 26 consecutive games entering the championship series-1-0 in Opener.

Starter Anthony Eisonen (12–2) allowed seven hits and three runs, nine out and one was one, 6 1/3 in innings and the coasts did 2 pitch? One-hit relief scorer innings, taking out four.

Costal Carolina’s head coach Kevin Shonol and the first base coach Matt Shilling were excluded at the bottom of the first innings, in which Associate Head Coach Chad Oxyndine took over as acting head coach. According to the NCAA, Shonol was excluded to argue for balls and strikes and thrown the shilling for comments arguing with the umpires.

Dean Mihos participated in the left region with two outsiders at the bottom of the second innings, giving the first runs to the chanticals.

The LSU tied the score to the third when Daniel Dicinson led a single and later dismissed two on Ethan Frey Double.

The tigers took a 5–1 lead by Stanfield and Curial on a two-hit hits, and the coastal Carolina Starter Jacob Morrison (12–1) was relieved by Hayden Johnson. In 3 2/3 innings, Morrison conceded five runs on six hits and a walk with a two strikes.

Chanticlers were within two runs in the seventh when Ty Dole was hit by a pitch and Wales Cyx hit a two -run homer. Later, the noise relieved the coastal Carolina from the rest of the way, looked at his second sev of the season.
