Two weeks after losing the Kentaki Derby, journalism receives a second crack on a triple crown jewelery as a 3 -year -old colt bucket is a favorite for the precise line on Saturday in Baltimore.

Trainer Michael McCarthi’s stakes, who started the Derby as 3–1 favorite, ralled from the middle of the pack to claim to come out in Churchill Downs before sovereignty and won 1/2 length.

The connection of sovereignty opted to give up Preakness in favor of preparing the next month’s Belmont bet at Saratoga Springs, NY, while journalism would not have a chance to avenge the loss that took away the four-day winning streak, is facing eight other horses in the Pimlico Race Course. This includes Sandman, Arkansas Derby-Vigner Colt, who finished seventh in Louisville as the second choice of Derby Betters on 3 May.

Journalism is currently 8-5 on the morning line, but the CARSer by CARSer can be staked for less than the money until around 7 pm by the time of the 1-3/16-mile race. Macarthi told reporters this week that she likes what she has seen from journalism, which is being asked for the race for the first time after the race.

“Sometimes with good horses, it is very difficult to mention that they are not at the top of their game because they can handle it,” said McCarthi. “They handle these things so easily. We will see on Saturday, but my intestine tells me that we are for good things.”

Only another Kentucky Derby involves entrance journalism and sandman in the Prekness Stakes Field. Virginia Darby was ranked 16th in Churchill Downs. However, another horse that walked on Derby Day is also in the field.

The target-oriented (6-1) Derby went to the wire-to-wire to win the 1 1/16-mile allowance on the undercard. Prekness will be just the third race and the first bet for Bob Baffert-trained Colt.

Bifart, who won the eight Prekness races, expected Luka to follow the way for victory last year. The 89 -year -old trainer entered Gray after winning the Pat Day Mile in Louisville two weeks ago. However, Befurt told reporters on Thursday that, while Gol -orient has well prepared, he knows journalism, who defeated two of his horses in Santa Anita Derby in April, defeated one.

“This is all,” the hall of fame trainer said about journalism. “He has proved it. If he brings his ‘A’ game, he is going to be difficult. We need luck.”

Riding target -oriented by Flavian Pratt, attracted the inside post, such as Bull’s citizen Bull did in Kentki Derby. Journalism, Umeberto will break from the second gate in Rispoli, while American Promise and Jockey Nick Juarez attracted the third gate.

Sandman (4–1) has John Velzkease board and will break from the seventh gate. Among the more relaxed horses, River Themes (9-2) is probability the largest challenger of journalism. Todd Placher-Directed Colt qualified for a runner-up Finnish in the fountain of youth stax in Gulfstream Park and Keenland’s Blue Grass Stax, but the horse’s connection withdrew him to the idea to focus on pricons. Irad Ortiz Junior receives a call on the River Temes, which will break the sixth.

The Baltimore region has received a lot of rain this week and is in additional rainfall forecast. It can lead prekness to run in off-track conditions like Kentki Derby.

It would also be final held in Pimlico, before it undergoes reconstruction of $ 400 million, which will require 2026 prekness to be held at Laurel Park, which is located 30 mi from Pimlico between Baltimore and Washington, expected to return to Pimlico in DC 2027.
