A report by the Times of India revealed that Virat told his India colleagues that ‘he is done’ with Test cricket. However, BCCI is not yet ready to let the experienced batsman go. Sources indicate that the top officials have reached Kohli, urging them to reconsider their decisions, especially with significant tourism on the horizon. India has been designed to adopt on a challenging foreign calendar, including England and Australia -series tours, where Kohli’s experience can prove to be invaluable.

“She is still incredibly fit and hungry. His presence in the dressing room raises the entire team,” a senior BCCI official said on condition of anonymity. “We have requested them to take some time before making a final call.”
