5 players should release DC before IPL 2026

DC MI became the last aspect to end with IPL 2025 playoff race after a 59 -run defeat.
After losing a win against Delhi Capital MI, IPL 2025 became the last team to knock out of the playoff race. DC won the season on a high note by winning four back-to-back games. However, they lost speed after reaching the middle stage of the tournament.
Do not make any mistake, despite not making it for playoffs, Acar Patel and co. Has proved himself a malignant side. However, they can make some changes, do some cuttings and fix their team for IPL 2026.
5 players should release DC
1. Karun Nair
Nair has failed to reach expectations, leaving his 89 -run knock in his first outing for DC against MI. In 7 matches, he has managed to score only 154 runs. Karun seems like a misfit that otherwise DC has a fierce top order. The team can see him to release it before IPL 2026 and can seek more sustainable options instead.
2. Donovan Farera
The South African all -rounder has largely heated the bench in this season. The purchase of Rs 75 lakh, which played just one game for DC in this season, can be released to free a place in the squad, which can take another qualified all -rounder. In addition, in his IPL career, he has played only 3 games and scored 9 runs.
3. Sameer Rizvi
Taking his step from CSK to DC in IPL 2025, young Rizvi would have preferred to get more opportunities. However, he showed only 4 matches and managed to score 63 runs. A promising middle-order batter-cum-finisher, Sameer’s talent can be used by another team that can keep their services better. In addition, it is overshadowed by the presence of other finishers like Viraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma in DC.
4. T natarajan
Another talent that has been reduced by DC this season is T Natarajan. Tamil Nadu Pesar, who did not facilitate any match in any match till May due to possible injury, has played only two matches for DC. The bowling he bowled in a match became a wicket -wicket while maintaining 49 runs. If DC does not intend to use it regularly, they can release it and find another reliable pacer.
5. Mohit Sharma
Mohit has failed to live up to his reputation of being an experienced bowler in the IPL. Taking his step for DC from GT, Sharma managed to take 2 wickets out of only 7 matches. In fact, he has been quite expensive, given that his economy rate is currently at 10.00. He was picked up by DC for a Hooping for Rs 2.2 crore, but the bus price has failed to justify the tag.
