Yuvraj Singh WCL 2025 to lead a Star-Staded India Champions Squad at Title Defense

India Champion has unveiled its squad for much awaited Legends World Championship (WCL) Season 2, set up with Yuvraj Singh to return as the captain of a star-stamped lineup. Defending Champions, who won the inaugural title in 2024, would be the head of England later this month, protecting his crown in the six-nation tournaments featuring some of the most prestigious names of cricket.

Yuvraj Raina to lead Dhawan

India’s 16 -member squad shows the return of fan favorite including Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh and Yusuf Pathan. Batting shelling, spin diversity, and experienced seam options make it a well -round outfit. The pace attack will be handled by Varun Aaron, Siddharth Kaul and Vinay Kumar, while spin will rest the duties with Harbhajan, Piyusha Chawla and Negi.

After the announcement of the squad, a spike was done in enthusiasm among fans, especially to renew its fierce rivalry with Pakistan Champion in its initial struggle on July 20 – a rematch of the last year’s final.

Tournament observation

WCL 2025 will run from 18 July to 2 August at four prestigious places in England – Edgbaston (Birmingham), County Ground (Northampton), Grace Road (Leicester), and Haddingly (Leads). Six participating teams-India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa and the West Indies-will play in a round-robin league format, which will progress in the top four semi-finals.

The India champion will play five league games, including high-voltage fixtures against Australia (26 July), England (27 July), and West Indies (29 July). The semi -finals will be held on 31 July, followed by a grand final 2 August In EDGBASTON.
