Yashasvi Jaiswal recorded the fastest Indian to score a record 2000 Test run of his RR head coach Rahul Dravid.

Jaiswal has scored 932 runs against England in Test cricket.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s already in the league of legends. The 23-year-old has just become the joint-fastest Indian to score 2,000 Test runs. The record belonged to Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag, who had done so in 40 innings. Well, Jaiswal has tied them. Had he scored a hundred in the first innings, the record would have belonged to him.
Fastest to score 2000 Test runs (India)
- 40 innings: Yashasvi Jaiswal
- 40 innings: Rahul Dravid
- 40 innings: Virender Sehwag
- 43 innings: Vijay Hazare
- 43 innings: Gautam Gambhir
But to tie the likes of Dravid and Sehwag is good enough. His 28-run knock from 22 balls in the second innings at Edgbaston was good enough for Jaiswal to get there. England is his favourite opposition. He averages 77.66 against them in 7 matches. In each of these Test matches, Jaiswal has at least one fifty-plus score.
In this match as well, Jaiswal has scored 115 runs against them across two innings. He was mighty close to scoring his 4th Test hundred against them but was dismissed by Ben Stokes for 87 in the first innings. His run tally against them would cross the 100-run mark in the next match, most probably, given his record against them.
