Yashasvi Jaiswal finally finished the butter fingers to take the first catch of the Test series at Lord’s

After remembering at least four opportunities in 1 Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal finally managed to take his first catch in the IND vs Eng 3RD Test.
Luck has finally gone Yashasvi Jaiswal’s way as the youngster managed to take his first catch in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. The southpaw was severely criticized for his efforts on the field after he dropped four catches in the Leeds Test. Jasiwal managed to hold on to a catch off Zak Crawley’s willow on Day 4 at Lord’s as India got the third wicket in the 1st session.
Jaiswal finally takes a catch in England
Jaiswal, who had previously messed up while fielding at gully in the 1st Test, took his first catch of the series at the same position. While the catch looked quite simple, it was terrific one and the reaction of Jaiswal’s teammates explained how much the catch meant for the team and for the youngster. A jubilant KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Dhruv Jurel rushed to Jaiswal to congratulate him.
Jaiswal had a miserable first outing in England, having dropped four crucial catches in the IND vs ENG 1st Test. He first dropped Ben Duckett while fielding at gully while Bumrah was bowling. He then dropped Ollie Pope while fielding at the third slip, once again off Bumrah’s bowling. While Pope went on to score 106 runs thanks to the lifeline, Duckett managed to score 67 runs before he was sent packing.
Another dropped catch came while Jaiswal was fielding at the third slip again, this time the lifeline was given to Harry Brook. The batter went on to score 99 runs before he was finally dismissed.
Overall, India dropped 6 catches in the Leeds Test. They lost the series opener, thanks to their sloppy fielding and poor bowling in the 2nd innings. However, India turned it around in the very next game at Edgbaston. They clinched a historic 336-run win to level the series 1-1.
