The New York Yankis was removed after three innings at Toronto in Toronto on Thursday evening to start the Pitcher Clark Schmid.
Schmid gave RBI double to Edison Barsan in the first innings and in the third gave George Springer a two -run domestic run. He left after throwing 55 pitches.
Schmid started the year in the injured list with rotator cuff tendenitis and made her debut on 16 April. He threw seven hitless innings on 21 June and a season-high 103 pitches vs. Baltimore, but allowed Athletics to lose 7–0 on 28 June.
Schmidt entered the game of tonight with 4-4 records, 3.09 ERA and 1.057 whip.
Clayton Beater entered the game in the fourth innings for Yankis, making his season debut and only his fourth large league appearance.
