Yankees SS Anthony Volpe avoids severe elbow injury

X-rays and a CT scan Yankis Shortstop Anthony Wolpe was negative on the elbow of Anthony Wolpe, when he collided with a pitch in a 9–6 win on Boston Red Sox in New York.

“Good news,” manager Aaron Boon said after the game. “… slightly rigid and sore throat but hope that nothing that keeps him out for a very long time.”

Volpes maintained a fusion when a changeup of 88-mile per hour from Walker Buhler held his left elbow with locations loaded in the second innings, forcing New York to give New York a 7–0 lead in one run.

Both X-rays at Yanki Stadium and CT scan at Manhattan Hospital revealed that there was no fracture, Volp said after returning to Ballpark.

“Once … Adrenaline wore it, it became too big,” Volpe said about his swollen elbow after returning to Ballpark, according to NJ.com. “Painful and hard.”

24 -year -old Volpee, after playing 160 matches in 160 matches in 2024, appeared in Yankis’s first 62 matches in this season and 159 as a crook in 2023.

He hit the two -run homer during the first Friday of New York’s five runs and is hitting .241 with eight homeers and 37 RBI this season.
