New York Yankiz on Friday activated the right -handed Jonathan Loiciga from the injured list, while the left -arm Tyler Matzake was nominated for assignment.
Loiziga returns 13 months after an internal brace process on the Ulnar collateral ligament in its right elbow. The 30-year-old took just three demonstrations in the previous season and overtook 1-0 without allowing one run in four innings.
In seven sessions with Yennakis, he is 19–11 with 3.44 ERA in 163 appearances (11).
The 34 -year -old Matzake did 4.26 ERA in seven relief shows this season. In seven career sessions, he has moved from 16–21 with 3.73 ERA in the Colorado Rockies (2014–15), Atlanta Braves (2020–22, 2024) and Yankis for Yankis.
New York also returned the right-handed Clayton Beater from its rehabilitation assignment, restored it from 15-day IL and gave him the option for Triple-e-Scranton/Wilks-Bare.
