Fingers crossed, Aaron Boon, manager of New York Yankis, said good news is around the corner for Giancarlo Stantton.
Boon said on Wednesday that Yankis General Manager Brian Cashman said Stanton “was really getting closer to a rehabilitation assignment,” Boon said on Wednesday that Stanton would be in New York and would carry the next steps forward. On 25 May, Cashman told MLB Network Radio that Stanton was hitting a pitching machine and “doing everything.”
“I think he was doing baseball activities (but not in batting). He is probably leading here, but I don’t know the next step if it’s a rehabilitation assignment or what. Hopefully, we will be in the next 24 hours,” Boon said pointing to Thursday’s update.
Bune said that he would “speak very soon” until he conference with the team and Stanton.
Sitting first in the American League East to play on Thursday, Yanki is second in Baseball in Ghar Run and Slugging.
Stanton, 35, was placed in the 10-day injured list at the end of March and was later transferred to the 60-day IL in May due to the right and left elbow epicondylitis, an issue in the previous season that resumed before the spring training.
With Miami Marlins the 2017 National League MVP and five-time all-star, Stanton batted with 27 domestic runs. 233 and last season last season batted with 72 RBI in 114 matches. In seven sessions with Yankiz, Stantton has belt 162 homeers and run in 431 runs.
Calf, hamstrings, axis and elbow issues are on a road for the availability of Stanton. He was playing an average of just 94.7 games per season since he joined New York, playing more than 115 games, which took place in 2021 when he played 139 games.
