Xander Bogaerts exploded a three-run homer on Wednesday night and Randy Vaskes played six effective innings to win as San Diego Padress stopped Los Angeles Angels 5–1.
Vaskese (3-3) made his second direct start, with one run and four hits with one walk and five strikes. Three reliever as San Diego ended as a 16-5 improved at home, where it has won one of its seven series
Padress won the last two competitions against angels in a three-game set.
Los Angeles’s Starter Kyle Hendrix (1-5) gave three runs on five hits in six innings. Hendrix walked one and whispered four, scorched the Padress after the first innings.
