WTA Roundup: IGA Swiatek first reaches the grass final

Poland’s fourth seeded IGA Swiyatech reached its first final of 2025 and on Friday at the Bad Homberg Open in Germany with a rapid victory on her first place on the grass.
Swiatech suffered a 6–1 defeat of 6–1, 6-3 in only 6–1, italy’s number 2 Seed Jasmine Paolini’s 6–3 defeat in just 66 minutes. This was a five -time Grand Slam winner’s 50th career victory, against the top -10 rival -that was the first on the grass.
The Saturday’s finals will feature her rival top seed Jessica Pegu, who lagged 5–3 in the second set before winning 6-7 (2), 7-5, 6–1 to 6-1. Noskova hit 15 aces and was under control by Pegula before playing 10 out of 10 of the last 11 matches to win in 2 hours and 7 minutes.
Lexus Eastborne Open
Alexandra Eela made history by becoming a first player from the Philippines, which was out of Varwara Gracheva from Varwara Gracheva of France 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 in Eastborn, England.
The 20-year-old EALA saved eight out of 15 break points and won the last three matches to end 2-hours, 22 minutes of victory. She will face the 19-year-old Australian Maya Joint, which reached her first grass-court final with a 7–5, 6-3 win over Russia’s Anastasia Paviluchenkova.
Saturday’s finals will mark the youngest match match in a joint age case in Eastborn as 18 -year -old Tracy Austin defeated 16 -year -old Andrea Jeer in 1981.
