WTA Roundup: Emma Redukanu reaches London Quarter

Unplanned Emma Redukanu is the last British at the HSBC Championship after a straight-set win against Slovakia’s Rebecca Srimkova in London on Thursday.

Redukenu rescued four out of six break points in 76 minutes in a 6–4, 6–1 win, with China’s top seeded Kinwen Zheng founded a quarter-final. Zheng excluded McCartney Kesler from 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 in two hours and 11 minutes.

The compatriot of Redukanu also did not rent. Kazakhstan of No. 4 Seed Elena Rybikina left Heather Watson 6-4, 6-2, and Russia’s No. 5 Diana Schneider, followed the Katie Baulter 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. In the Shanider quarter -finals, the number 2 seed will meet Madison Keys and Rayabkina will face unseeded German Tatjana Maria.
