WSOP app streamline long lines and poker registration in 2025
A joke in Poker’s World Series in Las Vegas was a joke for years that the players spent more time waiting for a tournament to register in line, as much as they actually played in it.
This is certainly perfect for huge events such as colossus, a small $ 500 purchase-in tournament that attracts more than 20,000 entrances in the previous years. Hundreds of players were waiting in long lines, only to bust from the tournament within minutes-and again reach the line again to register again.
Logically, this was not just the most efficient way of running a poker chain or keeping customers happy.
In 2025, however, WSOP unveiled a new phone app, which revolutionize the way the poker tournament is conducting and how the players are informed.
And long lines, for most parts, are dead and buried in the Nevada desert.
The WSOP+ app rolled out last month and immediately received a review from players and poker fans. Participants can register and buy directly from their phone using the app at the WSOP Live event, eliminating the nightmare of in-Person registration.
If the players are removed from the phenomenon of re -entry, they can re -enter their device before standing from their chair. The app adds them to a virtual waiting list and warns them on taking their new seat in the tournament.
Real -time information is also a major new feature. Once the players are registered for a tournament, they can see every data point for the event, including the current blind level, the remaining minutes in the level, the remaining players, the remaining players, the players’ names on their table and other tables and figures and the figures and results for each player.
Players also have the ability to take notes directly on their opponents. If they participate in those opponents later in the tournament – or in a separate event during summer – notes will still be saved.
Jack Efficient, Senior Vice President of Poker Operations and Senior Vice President of Poker’s World Series, has been thrilled by the success of the app through the first two weeks of the series.
“It becomes so easy (for the players),” Efficient told wsop.com. “You have money on your account, you play events you want, go straight to your table, sit and start playing. You don’t have to stand in line. And it is helping us manage some more large areas in a more efficient way.”
The app is a game changer, and other poker tours will try to mimic these large -scale upgrades in the coming months.
The 56th edition of the World Series of Poker has a 100 gold bracelet event in Horsasho Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas strip. The series lasts from July 16.
