
Will Zaltoris announced on Monday that he would recall the rest of the PGA tour season after surgery to repair two herniated discs in his back.
“In this spring, I began to feel some inconvenience and instability in my back which deteriorated progressively,” he posted on social media. “After the PGA Championship, an MRI showed that I had rebuilt two discs. After discussing the options with my medical team, I performed this surgery with Dr. Michael Dafi at the Texas Back Institute last Friday.
“I am happy to say that I am feeling good and excited about my long -term health.”
The 28 -year -old Zalatoris had undergone disk surgery in April 2023.
He missed the cut at the PGA Championship in Cute Hall earlier this month. His best finish in this season was a T12 in the American Express in January.
Zalatoris has a career PGA Tour Win (2022 Fedex St. Jude Championship) under his belt, although he has finished 2021 Masters, 2022 PGA Championships and Runner-up in 2022 US Open.
