Why Shardul Thakur should be considered as expert bowler and Nitish Reddy as a pure batsman

India may not consider Shardul Thakur as an expert bowler in Eng vs. Ind1 Test.

Following India’s loss in Headingly, England vs. 1 Test in Leeds to England, Head Coach Gautam Gambhir claimed that Shardul Thakur was not included in the playing XI as an expert bowler. Well, visitors were certainly erased to make that decision-given that the all-rounder was reduced by the ball and did not make any impact with the bat. Moving forward, a debate will definitely be revealed whether Nitish Kumar Reddy should be taken to the XI to play Thakur.

However, it would be unlucky for India to consider Nitish and Shardul as all -rounders. Both individuals, although all -rounders, are favorable for some skill sets. And it is that Shubman Gill should keep for the optimal use while deciding who should be selected in the Shee.

Sharadul is a specialist bowler, Nitish is a pure batsman. Duration

Despite having an experience of bowling 104 overs in England in England, before the ID 1 Test, Shardul was used for a joint 16 overs in Leeds. While Gambhir defended the move that it was said that it was Gill’s call based on gills and situations, it is not understood that he should be in XI to play if he did not want to use it more in bowling.

While bowling in England, Thakur already had 10 wickets out of 5 matches. He managed to add only two more to that list after the headingley test. However, Thakur could probably add more wickets to his tally, he was used for a long time. In addition, all-rounder is used to bowl for a long mantra with a red ball, something that he has done for India in the past and also for Mumbai in first-class cricket.

Sharadul failed to deliver with the bat, batting at number 8, scoring just 1 and 4. Naturally, it disqualify Gambhir’s argument that he was not as an expert bowler. Should India remain with Thakur in cold, so it should be given to more overs.

Now, let’s talk about Nitish Kumar Reddy. First, if he is included in the player XI, he is sure to bat above where Thakur did it. And Reddy’s expertise with the bat defeated his experience with the ball. Should India think about playing in XI, Gill should keep in mind that he will use more with the bat and will use very little with the ball in terms of the ability to take wickets.

Unlike Sharadul, Nitish has tasted limited success with the ball. He has five Test wickets out of 5 matches so far, all this is coming in 44 overs in Australia. On the other hand, with the bat, the all-rounder has performed much better-has scored 298 runs in innings, out of which he has managed to cross the 40+ run mark on 4 occasions.

While Sharadul has three half -centuries for his name in England, he will definitely be more effective with the ball than Nitish. Thus, it would be intelligent for Gill to reconsider how he brands two all-rounders, deciding to play XI for upcoming tests.
