Why is Exer Patel not playing today’s IPL match?

To note, Exer Patel was also not part of DC’s last match against MI. According to reports, Exer Patel has caught the flu, so it will not be available for the last match of his side in IPL 2025. Meanwhile, Du Plessis won the toss in DC vs PBK IPL match and opted for a bowl first in Jaipur.

,We will have a bowl first. No! This was the decision of 50-50. This is more with the combination of our team. We are playing an additional batsman. It helps when chasing. There is a lot of disappointment to be honest. We started well. Then a roller went to the coaster. We lose speed and confidence. We have played enough T20 cricket to understand this. If you do the right thing for a long time, both change. We were excellent in the previous game till 17 overs. We bowled beautifully. Then there was a lack of concentration. Then the speed went back again. We had to fight it back, ” Du Plessis said in the toss.
