Why did Virat Kohli conclude his test retirement message with ‘#269’?

Virat Kohli, the star batter of the Indian cricket team, on Monday announced retirement from trials with an emotional message on social media. Reports about Virat’s retirement have been doing a few rounds in recent times, some of which have claimed that they were asked by the BCCI to reconsider their stance. However, Kohli decided to announce his decision before the test series against England in June. In a message posted by Kohli, he concluded by saying “#269, Sign of” – something that left the Internet. Number 269 refers to Virat’s cap number as he was the 269th player who represented India in the test.
Kohli, who admitted that it was not an easy call to make, turned to 123 tests for India, scored 9230 runs, on average with an average of 30 hundreds of 46.85.
Kohli announced on his Instagram page, “I was for the game, for the game, for the game, for the game, for the game, and every person who saw me in this way.

Since his debut in 2011, Kohli captured India at the world number one place in the format and won a historic series in Australia in 2018-19.
He will now play only in the ODI match, which retired before T20 International last year after playing an important role in India’s T20 World Cup win in Caribbean.
Kohli said, “It has been 14 years when I first wore Bagi Blue in Test cricket. Honestly, I never imagined that this format would take me. It has tested me, given me a test, shaped me, and I have taught me a lesson that I will take for life,” Kohli said.
Megastar’s last Test assignment was Australia’s huge tour to a large extent in which he was successful in just one hundred. He finishes his career less than a mark of 10,000 runs, which was considered a formality, at one stage.
Right -handed people still indicate as a huge format with seven double hundreds, most for an Indian and Sunil Gavaskar (4), Sachin Tendulkar (6), Virender Sehwag (6) and Rahul Dravid (5) ahead of the prestigious pair.
At a time when the T20 league saw the most demanding and showed Shopis in international cricket, Kohli’s aura played an important role in keeping fans bowed to test cricket.
This was no less than Sir Viv Richards, with which he was often compared to his style and aggression, which he had dialed considerably over the years.
Kohli wrote in his farewell note for the format, “Something deep about playing in the whites. Quiet pieces, long days, short moments that no one sees, but he stays with you forever.”
He said, “As I am away from this format, it’s not easy – but it seems right. I have given it everything that I have, and it is very much given to me as much as I could expect. I will always look back with a smile,” I said.
