Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen, which the cricket world has ever seen. The player made his India debut in 2008 and never looked back. Along with hard work and continuous performance, Kohli also came out a bad dream for the greatest bowlers, who played against him. While his sensational run in international cricket continued, Kohli also kept shinging in the Indian Premier League. There is no doubt, Kohli’s value has increased in many folds in the last 17 years due to his great performance in international cricket and IPL. However, the player tries to maintain that his stature does not affect his bond with his old friends.
In a recent conversation at ‘RCB Podcast: Bold and Beyond’, Kohli revealed that he tried to interact with his old friend in the same way as before. Star Better said that he also tries to rest during the conversation.
“I have never treated him separately because I do not feel myself differently. I am very similar with everyone. I recently net to a couple of my under -19 companions – Tanmay Srivastava and Ajitesh Argle – both are now umpires in IPL. We shared a lot of memories. Kohli said.
“Maybe what they may have heard of their experiences or from some other people, they immediately (me) who do not openly, immediately, immediately. I don’t think it affects me. I try to relax them in conversation or at that place because I feel that they are feeling that I am in this situation. I call me ‘AAP’ in the accident. I have a little shocking there but I try to reduce them.”
Kohli is currently playing in IPL 2025. He is undergoing a spectacular form, scoring 505 runs in 11 matches with the help of seven fifty.
