What’s wrong with SRH? Pat Cummins Magic Feds, Travishek, Shami Highlight IPL 2025 Struggles

Travishek, Middle Order model and a tournament failed in worse bowling attack – is the Cummins magic faded?
Pat Cummins was appointed SRH captain after Australia’s leadership for the World Cup victory against India. He converted a struggling side into a record-breaker and title contenders, leading him to the IPL final. He then won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, added more firepower from his side and returned to SRH to repeat his 2024 valor. However, the magic has been faded since, which has so far lame the finalist beaten through the league stage.
Here, on insidessport.in, we see what went wrong for the 2016 IPL champion in 2025.
Travicke’s struggle
Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head took the IPL from the storm as SRH made fun of the bowling attacks in the tournament. While the pair did not always open together, they managed to stitch a malignant partnership, scored more than 12 as an ideal. However, in this season, both have struggled for runs and stability, causing Sunrisers to scoring well. Except for the game against PBK, SRH openers have shared 50+ only once. Even the stand came to Wankhede in 6 overs, reducing any impact on the final score. In fact, his partnership of 171 was more than exposing his struggles jointly in his 7 other sports.

Middle order
SRH allowed Aiden Markram to go, who has found a new lease of life as an opener for LSG. The arrival of Ishaan Kishan has also not had the desired effect. Left -handed people have failed to score more than 20 in each of the 7 matches since their debut 100. Nitish Reddy has also struggled for the run, while Henrik Klassen has scored his 1st 50 of the season vs. MI. Anichat Verma has affected, but has been a massive mid -over failure, resulting in a sharp decline in fate. In 2024, Klassen scored more than 400 runs, while Nitish Reddy also crossed a 300 tally for the season. Aiden Markram and Shahbaz Ahmed also made valuable contribution to more all-round batting attempts. The spirit of collective effort has been lacking in this season.
Big purchase, small returns
Sunrisers Hyderabad retained 5 players from their IPL 2024 squad and did a lot in the auction. The Orange Army spent Rs 11.25 crore for Ishan Kishan with another 10 crore for Mohammed Shami. Both players have done very little to show their qualifications. Kishan scored 33 runs in 7 innings since smashing 106 in his debut. Shami has 5 wickets in 7 sports, winning 10.87 with an average of 52.20. Nitish Reddy, who was retained for Rs 6 crore, has scored 133 runs at a strike rate of 109. Bought for 3.4 crores, Rahul Char has bowled only 1 over in IPL 2025.
Reliance on unaccounted talent
Despite having a side full of international genealogy, these are unaccounted players who have been SRH’s savings grace. Aniculture Verma has hit more sixes than any other SRH batsman this season. The 23 -year -old has 171 runs, with 14 sixes, striking at 172.72. Meanwhile, Zeeshan Ansari is the leading spinner, Rahul four on the bench and Adam Zampa exited due to injury. In earlier sports, even Simarjit Singh starred with an impressive 2/46 Rajasthan Royals.
Shami, Cummins and Lack of Wickets
As a bowling unit, Sunrisers Hyderabad bus has failed to take enough wickets. Harshal Patel is going to take his major wickets with 9 wickets. However, that tally only places her in the 19th position in the Purple Cap race. Pat Cummins has 7 wickets, while Shami has five. For reference, Prasad Krishna is the only 16 wickets, compared to Shami and Cummins (12). Overall, SRH has taken only 37 wickets, at least in IPL 2025. His economy of 10.43 is also easily the worst, as well as with the worst cumulative average of 40.24.
