Vancouver Whitcaps has further used the purchase of a guaranteed contract of Damir Cralach.
The 36 -year -old Croatia will no longer capture a senior roster spot, and his wages will not be against the club’s salary budget.
Sporting Director Axle Shoster said on Friday, “Damir has been an extraordinary leader and patron in the last one and a half years.” “Many of our young players, who are now making their mark in MLS, were very well prepared for their stable appearance and support in the locker room.
“We are incredibly grateful to the opportunity to work with Damir and wish him and his family in the future.”
Cralach contributed one goal in four matches (no start) this season with Vancouver. His two -year totals with Whitcaps included three goals (six starts) in 21 matches.
Cralach scored 47 goals in 151 MLS matches (133 start) with Real Salt Lake from 2018-23. All competitions include 60 goals and 20 assistance in 199 appearances in 2021 MLS All-Star’s career.
Each MLS club is allowed two purchases per season.
