Mitchell Starc performed brilliant pace bowling as Delhi Capital defeated Rajasthan Royals in the super over during its IPL 2025 encounter. Stark defended 9 runs in the final of the match and in the super over, he scored 11 runs to get the match for DC. While RR decreased with the victory, his decision not to send Nitish Rana for the super over was heavily criticized by former Australian cricketer Shane Watson. Rana was the top scorer for RR with 28 -gent -51, but his side selected Ryan Parag, Yashsvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmier for the Super Over. Watson was associated with the decision and went to ask what was Rana’s fault that he was not given a chance to bat once again.

Watson said, “There were some brainfed moments because there were some run-outs. We kept saying what Nitish Rana had done, he was not sent in the super over. You have a batsman who is a batsman who is set and has scored. In that case, he has no meaning,” Watson said after the encounter.

A Michelle Stark-inspired Delhi Capital on Wednesday defeated Rajasthan Royals through a super over in their Indian Premier League match.

12 runs are needed in the super over, DC got him in four balls.

To bat first, Delhi Capital scored 188 runs for five.

In response, Yashasvi Jaiswal (51 off 27 balls) and Nitish Rana (51 in 28 balls) scored a brisk half-santimeter to lead RR’s charge, carrying the game with visitors to four out of four in 20 overs before Starc by Stark.

RR needed nine in the last over and Stark accepted only eight to spread the game.

Earlier, the Home Team served well by Abhishek Porl’s 37-Ball 49 on top of the order and even though KL Rahul had consumed 32 balls for his 38, Skipar Axar Patel (34 runs off 14 balls) and Triston Stubs (not out of 34) were switched in top gear to help adopt 185-Runs.
