Virender Sehwag gave a big warning to Vaibhav Suryavanshi, it has a ‘Virat Kohli’ twist.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, who has become the youngest player to play in the tournament. The 14 -year -old left a sensational impression in his first innings, breaking six with his first ball. But when he made 20-guides 34 in his first knock, he could manage just 16 runs in his second match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in his second match. Former legendary India opener Virender Sehwag has advised Suryavanshi to keep his feet on the ground and not to get away from fame and take inspiration from Virat Kohli.

Sehwag warned Suryavanshi to remain on the ground and accept criticism of his game regardless of fame.

“If you step by knowing that you will get praise for doing good and not to do well, then you will be grounded. I have seen many players who gain fame from one or two matches, they do nothing, because they think they have become a star player,” Said, “Saying, speaking on Cricbes.

Suryavanshi appeared in his two innings so far fighting against spin and variations, which raise some boundaries through the edges, and often wrong their big shots.

Sehwag has urged Suryavanshi to take inspiration from Virat Kohli and aim to play in the IPL for the next two decades, instead of taking away from fame and publicity.

“Suryavanshi should aim to play 20 years in the IPL. Look at Virat Kohli, he started playing at the age of 19, now he has played all 18 seasons. That is what he is trying to follow. But if he is happy with this IPL, then thinking that he is now a millionaire, a big start, a big start, hit the first ball.

At the age of 13, Suryavanshi was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, which sold the youngest player to the IPL auction.

Under the guidance of Rahul Dravid, Suryavanshi has the right platform to develop in IPL in Rajasthan Royals. However, RR did not have a great IPL 2025.

Three sports in a row, Rajasthan Royals have faced defeat in a run chase despite being in a winning position. After losing seven of their first nine matches, RR is all, but out of controversy for the playoffs.
