Talking about the match, Delhi tasted the bitter taste of defeat for the second time in its third stability and slipped to fourth place. After losing the toss, Delhi had a challenge to set a growing goal for visitors in the den of its home.
KL Rahul’s composition was the backbone of 41 (39) DC innings, and the combative 34 (18) of Triston Stabs offered very important shells. Together, they picked up the hosts up to 162/8, which proved to be much less than the in-form Royal Challengers.
Score in the 250 border was a common phenomenon in the previous IPL but the slow nature of the pitches has made batting difficult this season. Peterson has no problem.
During the press conference after the match, Pieterson said, “On such wickets (in Feroz Shah Kotla), you have become faiped, you have got to find the rhythm. Virat (Kohli) got the rhythm this evening. KL got the rhythm.”
“And I think you look at the right batsman. The real batsman who can come there, and monitor the situation, and it looks comfortable … Is it good for T20 cricket to take wickets like this ever? I don’t think it’s a bad thing,” he said.
Peterson was not in favor of the bowlers “Just every ball was being served in the stand”.
“… I don’t think every night people want to see it. I really don’t want to see it every night,” Peterson said.
