Virat Kohli spoke to Ajit Agkar twice, decided to leave the test on ‘lack of freedom’: report

Inadvertently one of the most amulet cricketers played the game, Virat Kohli bid farewell to the test format on Monday, which sent the entire community to shock. While this decision was quite surprised, they came to know that the batsman had made his mind long ago. With a new World Test Championship cycle begins, Virat knew that some things would have to be changed if he and the team recently had to get themselves out of that rote. But the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) had other views.

In a report by Cricbuzz, it turns out that Kohli decided to quit cricket as he informed about the management’s decision to give a younger player the responsibility of captaincy. He wanted new challenges for his self-addiction and revival. Under the current management, he was not allegedly getting freedom, environment and vibes. Compared to the previous dressing room, the atmosphere in the current setup was very different.

After a poor run with the bat, spread for about three years, in which Virat had scored only an average of 32, wanted a 36 -year -old new challenge. Without it, unfortunately, he did not have a reason to continue his journey in the whites.

The report also claimed that Kohli spoke to Ravi Shastri, the head coach and a dear friend of the Indian team before taking the final call. Virat also spoke to former BCCI secretary J Shah, but it is not yet known to what the chat is physical. One of the most influential figures on the board was a meeting between him and Rajiv Shukla, but the Indo-Pak political scenario could not make enough time and space to happen.

The report also said that Virat spoke to BCCI chief selector Ajit Aggarkar at least twice on the phone in recent times. But none of these conversations managed to change their mind when retired from the red-ball format.

If the BCCI had decided to start the transition process after the England series, both Virat and Rohit could not continue farewell after 5-match assignments. However, the board wanted to start the new cycle with a certain game plan. Therefore, a call was to be made.
