Virat Kohli retires from Test cricket; BCCI announced revised IPL 2025 fixtures

IPL 2025 to resume on 17 May

With tension between India and Pakistan, BCCI has announced a revised program for IPL 2025. Six cities – Delhi, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mumbai will host the remaining 13 league matches. The final of the tournament will be played on 3 June. However, the BCCI did not announce places for the playoffs. The IPL will resume with RCB vs KKR match in Bengaluru on 17 May.

Gautam Gambhir New King

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have a power vacuum in the cricket team due to both Tests and retired from T20I. As Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant are not yet achieving superstar status, India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir is now the new king of Indian cricket. Pbks vs. DC to be rebuilt

Pesar Arshdeep Singh of Punjab Kings announced that the PBKS vs. DC match would be resumed. The PBKS vs. DC match was released after 10.1 overs due to security reasons between India and Pakistan. Now, BCCI has confirmed that instead of leaving the match, it will be resumed on 24 May in Jaipur. There will be no match in Punjab and Dharmasala. Along with increasing tension along the border with India and Pakistan, Pakistan Cricket Board is also preparing to resume PSL 2025. PCB suspended PSL with eight matches. While the PCB announced that it would convert all the rest of the games into UAE, the plan failed as the authorities rejected the proposal. Instead, PSL will be played in Pakistan. The PCB is now scratching to get foreign players back. However, if some of them do not come back, it will still be completed. The PCB has not yet been announced to resume, but is likely to be around May 16–17 like the IPL.
