“Virat Kohli counted the money, ate food …”: East-Team partner revealed the huge change of RCB Star

India’s pacer Ishant Sharma said on Saturday that Virat Kohli will always be “cheeks” for those who grew up with him, showing friendship that he reflects his friendship in his early days in Delhi cricket. Ishant, who played with Kohli through the Senior India team from the under -17 level, said that the public image of the former captain’s superstar is a contradiction with the person he has known since childhood. “I think Virat Kohli (Star) is for outsiders. I can’t see him in such a way because we played in U-17. He is a childhood friend for me,” Ishant, who took 434 wickets in 105 Tests, said in Star Sports Press Room in Star Sports Press Room for the match against Delly Capital.
The 36 -year -old recalled his days in the under -19 setup, where he shared the rooms, created a budget, and saved the travel allowance.
“When we were in U-19s, we used to count how much money we had. We used to eat. When we used to go to U-19s, we used to save our tas and take them with us. Therefore, Virat Kohli is different for everyone. He is different for me.”
Ishant said that despite Kohli’s stardom, his bond was brother -in -law.
“Imagine, your brother has reached such heights. Everyone is thinking that he is great. But you will see that at the end of the day, he is a human. At the end of the day, you have spent a lot of time with him. You know him inside and outside. You know where he has come from, how he is and how he is not.” Both were recently seen hugging on the field before the IPL match, in which pictures of the moment were widely shared online.
Ishant said that his conversation rarely involves conversation about cricket but it is all about humor and banquet.
“When we meet, we never talk about how we played so many Test matches. We never talk about it. We talk about funny jokes. This is happening, it is happening, it is happening, look at it, look at it.
“I never felt that he is Virat Kohli. For us, he is cheek. We have always seen it like this. He has seen me like this too. We are sleeping together and sharing a room.” Both players made their international debut in the late 2000s, in which Sharma broke into the national team just before Kohli.
He recalled the moment when Kohli informed him about his first India call-up.
“When we started India, the name of the team came … He kicked me and said, your name has come. He said,” Will you really play for India? I said, brother, let me sleep, “Ishant said.”
