Harper Cardinals Starter will try to return to the track against Sunny Gray (4–1, 3.50 ERA), who are making a stellar start against Pittsburg Pirates last Wednesday. The veteran right-handed batsman allowed only two hits and seven scorer to follow innings, excluding eight in winning 5–0.
“(Gray) was under complete control all the time,” said St. Louis manager Oli Marmol. “It was fun to see.”
Gray 2–2 begins against Philips in seven lifetime with a 3.41 ERA, but he has not faced him this season.
The tray is against Turner Gray 9 -for -23 (.391), although Herler has controlled Harper (3 -for -20) and Schwarber (3 -for -22).
Left-handed Jesus Lujardo (3–0, 2.11) has so far suffered defeat as a filla, although he has not received any decision in five of his last six. He did not factor the verdict against Tampa Bay rays on Thursday, as he allowed two runs and six hits in 5 1/3 innings in a 7-6 win.
“Obviously a big game for boys, but is just a disappointing outing for me,” Lujardo said after throwing 105 pitches season-high. “Just feel that it is very deep, ruining a lot of pitches, not enough.”
Lujardo has made a three-lifetime against St. Louis, going 1–1 with 3.77 ERA. He has so far faced cardinals this season.
