Veteran Exercise Manager Bob Melvin’s contract for 2026

San Francisco giants on Tuesday raised the option of 2026 on the contract of manager Bob Melvin.
63 -year -old Melvin is guiding veterans in his second season. The team has 45-40 records entering the road game on Tuesday night’s road game against Arizona Diamondback.

Melvin played for veterans till 1986-88 and is happy to work for the organization in the years after his big league career.
“I am grateful to the opportunity to lead this group,” Melvin said. “I believe what we are making here. … We have a lot of incomplete business this year, and I am eager for further work.”
The veteran (80–82) finished fourth in the National League West last season in the first season of Melvin.
Melvin Dugout has three -time manager of the year during his 22 years. He won the award in 2007 with Arizona Diamondback and twice with the then-Ocland Athletics (2012, 2018).
Melvin has a 1,642–1,547 regular-season record and has led eight teams to postson. Six of them came with athletics during their tenure from 2011-2021.
Melvin also managed Seattle Meriners (2003-04), Diamondback (2005-09) and San Diego Padress (2022-23).
San Francisco also placed Infielder Christian Kos (Left Hamstring Strain) in the 10-day injured list and recalled outfielder Luis Matos from Triple-e Sacramento. Arizona was injured twice while running the hideouts during a 4–2 defeat on Monday.
Kos, 27, is batting. 265 in 41 games this season with two homes and 12 RBI. The 23 -year -old Matos batted with four homes and seven RBI in 24 matches before this season.
