Vaibhav Suryavanshi breaks 3 records on his IPL debut at 14, joining the Elite Club with Andre Russell




14 -year -old Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi started a solid Indian Premier League (IPL) against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as he started his innings with six off his first ball, making him the 10th player to do so. Suryavanshi joined the Elite list during the IPL clash between RR and LSG at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The teenage batsman started his IPL journey, in which Shardul Thakur was smoked on a large scale for six overs cover, in which everyone was in awe. His innings was terminated by Aiden Markram, who stumped him by Rishabh Pant with impressive 34 and three sixes in 34 in 20 balls. His runs came at a strike rate of 170.00. He also gave a stand of 85 runs with Yashsvi Jiswal during the 181 run-chase.

Here are three records which are Vaibhav Suryavanshi on their first day in the IPL.

At the age of 14 years and 23 days, Suryavanshi is now starting the youngest in the IPL, which began in 2008. Suryavanshi broke the record of prayer Re Burman, who started the IPL in 16 years and 157 days in 2019. He was part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Suryavanshi also became the youngest batsman to kill six in the IPL. Before Saturday, the record was organized by Ryan Parag, who is playing for RR. Parag made 17 years and 161 days at the age of six. Suryavanshi is also the youngest of one four hits in the IPL. Prior to Saturday, prayer Ray Burman kept this record for six years.

Coming into the match, LSG won the toss and opted for bowling first. Aiden Markram (66 in 45 balls, 66 with five fours and three sixes), Ayush Badoni (50 in 34 balls, with five fours and a six) and a cameo from Abdul Samad (30*in 10 balls, 30*, with four sixes, LSG with four sixes) took 180/5 in their 20 overs. RR was reduced by the target by two runs. This was the fourth loss of RR on Trot.
