During an interview with OneIndia Hindi, Suryavanshi’s childhood coach Brajesh Jha revealed the challenges that the young player faced.
He said, “This child has faced challenges since childhood. A lot of efforts have been made by arriving at this point. It is a pleasure to see him performing well in his debut match, and we are hopeful for a more luxurious future,” he said.
He further explained how the educational performance of the youth also took a hit.
He said, “Yes, his educational performance took a little dip after being serious about cricket, but he will hold it too. He is equally committed to the two,” he said.
Earlier, reflecting the young batsman’s explosive start, Jha said, “It was very good to see his batting, and with the first ball, he was batting so well. It was unfortunate that he went out, but whatever was missing in this game would be fixed. I am sure he would do even better in the next match.
Asked about Suryavanshi’s expectations for his next outing, the coach promoted confidence, “not only the next game, but he will score good runs in the entire tournament. The mistakes he made will learn from them and come back 100% in the next match. He will perform better than today, I am sure, I am sure.
With a possible future star bloom across the country, the final dream for the coach is clear.
“They have to play for the country. I have a dream that they should represent India. For me, IPL or under-19 nation is not bigger than the nation. The first dream of all children playing cricket should play for India. This sentiment will bring the greatest happiness to the Samastipur to play for the country,” she said.
