USMNT Standout Michael Bradley named Red Bulls II Coach

For a long time, US midfielder Michael Bradley was named the head coach of MLS Next Pro Side New York Red Bulls II on Thursday.
This is the first head coaching position for 37-year-old Bradley, who worked in the coaching staff of his father Bob Bradley with Norwegian Club Staback from 2023-24.
Bradley will replace Ibrahim Sikgya, who was promoted to one place as an assistant coach for the first team of Red Bulls at MLS on Wednesday.
It is a type of homecoming for Michael Bradley, which started her professional career in 2004 with metrostars, which was with the forearm of MLS’s current New York Red Bulls.
Bradley said, “Where my professional sports career started, I could not be more excited to come back,” Bradley said. “This is a dream opportunity as a young coach. I am eager to work every day with this talented group of players, and I will give them everything to help them take the next steps in my career.
“I am grateful to the club for the occasion and can’t wait to start.”
Bradley played with Toronto FC in MLS from 2014-23, recorded 16 goals in 258 matches and earned three all-star nodes. He earned 151 caps with the US Mains National Team from 2006-19, scored 17 goals and participated in the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was the US Soccer Player of the Year in 2015.
Bradley’s first match as the head coach of Red Bulls II will be against Carolina Core FC in NC on 21 June.
