US Open Field finalized with Ryan Fox, five optional

The USGA finalized the 156-man field for the US Open for the US Open on Monday and provided three more full discounts in the area and added five alternatives.

New Zealand’s Ryan Fox moved to the top 60 of the official world golf rankings on Monday, leaving the ground for the major championship contesting this week at the Omont Country Club. Fox won the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday to reach number 32 in the world, his second win in his last four.

Cameron Young and Bud Callie were also not in the top 60 at the previous checkpoint on May 19, but on Monday they were ranked 56 and 58 respectively. Young and Cowle had previously qualified for the US Open through a final qualifier in Columbus, Ohio last week.

The site’s two alternatives, Chase Johnson and Eric Cole, were added to the ground on Monday with Daug Ghim and Japan’s Takumi Kanaya and Ricky Kavamoto.
