US Open Champion JJ Spon Spon increases to number 8 in world golf rankings

JJ Spon waved his trophy in the air on June 15, 2025, celebrating his US Open Championship at the Omont Country Club in Okmont Country Club.

US Open winner JJ Spon jumped at number 8 in the official world golf rankings released on Monday, growing from 109th to meteorite to start the season.

Spon started 28th in OwGR last week, before he won a two-stroke win over Scotland’s Robert McIntire, on Sunday with consistently in his final round to win the US Open with a routine at the Omont Country Club.

The 34-year-old Spown has five career win and held a 54-hal lead at the Sony Open and Players Championships earlier this year. He found water on island hole, number 17 in TPC Sogras and lost three-six playoffs for Rory McLero in players.
