Two domestic cricket tournaments in Pakistan were postponed amidst the ongoing tension with India

The Regional Intra-District Challenge Cup, and the Inter-District U19 One-Day Tournament has been postponed with immediate effect due to the security situations prevalent in the country, according to a release from PCB. The tournaments will later resume from the same phase, and a revised program will be shared close to starting. The PCB announced on Friday evening that the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been postponed citing “deteriorating situation” on the India-Pakistan border.
The PCB said in a statement, “The situation on the LoC has been seen deteriorating in the last 24 hours.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) has also been suspended for a week due to increasing tension between India and Pakistan. The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that the new tournament program would be announced after consultation with the government and stakeholders.
“The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the remaining IPL 2025 for a week. Further updates about the new programs and places of the tournament will be announced after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with relevant officers and stakeholders.
After Pakistan, tension between Pakistan and India is increasing, as there was a wire of action against India, which was effectively responded by the Indian armed forces.
In New Delhi on Saturday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that the work done by Pakistan against India is being seen as “escalatry” and “provocative” in nature. He commented during a press briefing, where the evidence of Pakistan’s escalatry and stimulating tasks was provided by Pakistan with lying lies.
