Back to the XI after resting for the second Test, Bumrah reminded everyone why he remains in the forms of India. His 5 for 74 helped India Bowl England out for 387, with a classic bowling exploded with a morning season. In just seven balls space, Bumrah removed Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes, reduced the hosts from 251/4 to 271/7.
It was ranked in Bumrah’s five consecutive wicket series and 15th in Test cricket. He also surpassed Kapil Dev for most foreign puffers by an Indian bowler, which was already another feather in the magnificent hat.
