Timely hits of Reds win over twins

TJ Freedal’s two-outs, two runs in the sixth innings on Tuesday saw Minnesota Twins 6-5 in a three-game series opener.
Will Banson added a two-run double couple, while Jake Fraley stuck in a two-run single for Reds, who scored all six runs with two outs.
Scott Barlo (2–0) threw 1 1/3 scorer in the hard-fetter Andrew Abbot’s relief, which allowed five runs after 5/3 innings, earning only one.
Emilio Pagan worked around two walks in 19 occasions to pitch a scorer for its 17th Save.
Twins Reliever Brock Stewart (1–1) gave three straight two-out hits in the sixth after two-out of Harrison Beds, three-run homer kept Frylie’s glove above 5–4 in the top of the innings in the right.
Ryan Jeffers and Trever Larnach made two hits for twin children, who lost their fifth straight and nineth in 11 matches. Jeffers left their right hand in the fifth innings with an injury. X-rays were negative.
Fielder Bayran Buxon of Twins Center looted Banson of a home run to end the second innings and brought his 12th homer to the same place in the third place against Abbott.
Minnesota’s right -handed starter David Festa set the first eight Cincinnati batsmen before walking Matt McClen with two outsiders in the third. He ran two more batsmen in the fourth, but this time Banson got better than Festa, for the first hit of Cincinnati, 3-2 fastball for the interval in the left centers lining, a two-run double that kept the Reds up 2–1.
On a third strike, Catcher Jeffers was assisted by a passed ball, which ended the innings, Reds worked on two more runs on Fraly’s single to right.
The third baseless Christian Encarnasian-Strand threw the base high on the two-out grounder by Tie France in the sixth. It opened the door to an RBI single from Larnach and the go-forward three-un homer by the bed.
The game was stopped 15 minutes before the third lower part of the third, as the home plate umpire Tony Randazo left the game in the convention protocol after taking a foul tip from Tyler Stephenson to the mask in the lower part of the other. The second base umpire Clint Wondrak took place behind the Randzo plate.
