Thunder GM Sam Presti named NBA Executive Year

Sam Presti, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oklahoma City Thunder, was named as 2024-25 NBA Basketball Executive of the year on Tuesday.

This is the first honor for 47-year-old Presti, which finished second in 2009-10, 2019-20 and 2023-24.

Thunder led the NBA with 68–14 records this season, bound to the best in the history of the franchise and the sixth-master in league history. Oklahoma City also set an NBA record to score the difference, raising opponents to 12.9 points per game.

Presti has been a thunder GM since 2007. Earlier, he spent seven years in the front office of San Enteno Spider.

Presti got 10 first place votes and 74 total marks in voting by NBA officials. Kobi Altman, president of Cleveland Cavallers Basketball Operations, finished third and Trojan Langdon, Chairman of Detroit Piston Basketball Operations.
