This is a high time Rishabh Pant realized, how good he is

Rishabh Pant is currently one of the best batsmen in the Indian Test team, which is comfortably an average of over 44.

India’s best keeper-better in tests is no meaning. Rishabh Pant is all 27, and has already scored 3290 runs in 45 tests, on average 44. Yes, MS Dhoni’s career has more runs – 4876 runs in 90 matches, but were never as effective as pants. For those who do not agree to this, for those, MSD never created a century in army countries, and Southpow, at the beginning of his career, are six.

Rishabh Pant, one of the top test batsmen?

Four of them are in England, while one has come in each Australia and South Africa. So, it actually ends the debate here. He said, even though the world realizes Rishabh Pant’s ability – the test batsman, but perhaps that man does not do himself. And this is high time, it all changed.

Former India spinner R Ashwin believes, Pant is more than a keeper-botter, actually better than Adam Gilchrist. On his YouTube channel, he said, “People often compare them with Gilchrist, but that is not. Adam Gilchrist did not have such a defense. Pant has a high quality defense. They should be compared to some of the world’s best batsmen, not only wicketkeepers.”

And all this is not without any reason. Statistically, Sunil Gavaskar tops the list of Indian batsmen, when it comes to scoring for centuries, per innings. He played 6.29 innings to score a test ton, followed by Sachin Tendulkar at 6.45. Mohammad Azharuddin arrives at 6.68, and Virat Kohli is at 7. Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid fall under him.

A case of what could have happened

The pants currently have 8 centuries in 79 innings – and its ratio will be 9.8 for now. But whether he had gone to convert all his 90 Plus score – 7 to hundreds so far, he would have been at the top of this list. If not for those 90s, the pants will have 15 tonnes so far, which would have brought their ton/innings ratio to only 5.2.

While all this is based on perception, this idea is only to show what the Indian keeper has a tremendous ability. Among all the active players around the world, someone has no more than the 90s for their names. In the current IND vs.NG series, he has already moved forward to score some serious scores. In the first Test in Leeds, he returned with Twin Tons (134 and 118), and then followed it with 65 in Edgbaston. So, the possibilities are endless with Pant.
