After posting 4-8 records on the 11-day stretch, St. Louis Cardinals welcomed more than Mondays in Chicago before the opener of the Tuesday series against host white Sox.

St. Louis hopes to staging a reversal 24 hours and avoiding falling back into the National League Central Race.

St. Louis dropped three games in the standing in the last one week and left seven games behind the Division-Leading Chicago cub. Good news? There is no one in the clubhouse.

“Last month was a great month, and this month has been a difficult month so far,” said Nolan Aranado, the third base of cardinals. “Obviously, no day, which makes it even more difficult, but there is no excuse because everyone has to go through it.

“But the attitude is the same when we were playing well, and it’s great.”

The three-game sweep of the White Sox, which takes the lowest win in the American League (23), will assure a winning road trip to cardinals.

St. Louis saw a division of its four-market weekend sets in Milwauki, but could not capitalize in the ninth innings on Sunday. Brucers Closure Trever Megil hit Victor Scott II and Maseen Vinen with two runners in the scoring position to shut down a 3-2 million victory.

While the cardinals broke for eight runs on Saturday, they hope that they will again recover their attack with the second baseless Brendon Donovan. Donovan, who damaged Toronto on June 10 with discomfort in his left big toe, made two hits in a return to lineup on Sunday.

Chicago returns home from Houston and Texas 1–5 road trip. Things began smoothly on June 10 with a 4–2 win against Astro, but white Sox was exhausted the next night before losing one of the last four matches.

Luis Robert Jr. (Right Thumb’s agony) of the White Socx Center is expected to play against the cardinals. He was scratched with illness from Sunday’s lineup, but stayed in the game to play in the eighth innings and play in the game.

“I have pencil him in a lineup for Tuesday,” white sox manager Will Veneble said. “Give him the day and see where he is. We hope he will be on Tuesday.”

In Chicago’s 2–1 defeat, Veneble recalled all the scoring. He was fired at the bottom of the first innings to argue balls and attacks.

Wright-Hander Aaron Sivale, who started his team after Friday’s trade with Bruers, Veneble’s gesture showed confidence in a team that continues to compete.

“Anytime a manager goes and fights for the players, it’s a terrible sign,” Sivale said. “When you have a back of each other, it is important to know how you know that you are in a good position and the good of culture. When you are fighting for each other, that’s important.”

St. Louis will get a call to the left-handed Matthew Libertor (3-6, 4.17 ERA) as he appears to stop the three-start losing streak. The latest defeat of Libertor came against Toronto on Wednesday, when he hit five runs and nine in five innings.

Ruki Wright Shane Smith (3-3, 2.37) will begin for white sox. Smith won on June 10 in Houston in Houston thanks to six innings of Seven-Hit Ball.
