Ian Hap went into a game-winning run at the bottom of the 10th innings to win the Chicago cub 3–2 and take a series against Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday.

Automatic runners Vidal Bruzan and Kyle Tucker made a double theft with John Burti in the plate, and then Hap knocked a single from Reliever David Bedner (1-5) in the right ground, scoring Bruzon.

Reliever Chris Flexon (4–0) was perfect at the top of the 10th to win. Starting Pitcher Colin Ri conceded two runs on four hits and four out of four were killed in six innings for the cub, who won three of the four-market sets.

Pirates have lost the game for the first time since 1-3 June.

Pittsburgh opened scoring in the first innings. Oneil Cruz led with a single to right, Nick went to another place from Gonzalase on a base hit, and scored when the Spencer Horvitz was connected to the Aut-Out Single.

Gonzhalase finished third on Horvitz’s hit and came around to make it 2–0 on the ground-out of Alexander Carnerio.

Chicago responded to the lower half of the frame. Hap walked a lead-off, stole the other, and Peat moved to third place on the ground-out of Crow-Armestrong. They crossed the plate when Sia Suzuki took out another groundball.

Michael Bush knocked a fly ball below the left field line for a ground rule double and Dansbi Swanson ran him with a single to right field to tie him 2–2.

After facing six batsmen in the first, Ri and Pittsburgh Mich Keller settled and were skilled through the next five innings. Bush hit a two-out single in the third, a joint 27 batsmen hit both sides until Horvitz entered the center in the sixth.

Keller conceded two runs on three hits and threw three in six innings. Horvitz had two of Pittsburgh’s four hits.

Busch and Swansan each collected a pair of hits as the cubs were successful in only six.
