The purpose of the reeling Rockies is to play better ‘Brand of Baseball’ vs. Padress

Colorado Rockies wrapped a home series against the best team in the American League and now faced one of the better clubs in the National League.
Colorado lost three games for Detroit Tigers, including two ends of Thursday’s doubleheader with a joint score of 21-3. The Rockies, who has lost six directly, is needed to re -organized in a hurry when hosting San Diego Padress in Denver on Friday.
The Colorado will send Antonio Senjetla (1-5, 5.50 ERA) to the mound in a right-handed battle on Friday night against Randy Waskes (1-3, 3.90) of San Diego.
Rocky is at a historic speed, a trip that they want to stop. Colorado is 6-31 to start from 2025 and is a lower win at this point compared to the Chicago White Sox in the previous season. White Sox sets a major league record for losses in the modern era with 121.
Thursday’s first game starter was a mixture of Kyle Freeland’s ineffectiveness and poor rescue of Rockies. He had three errors that had four unknown runs.
Manager Bud Black said, “Some youth have realized the importance of defense.”
Conflicts have increased the difference between teams like Colorado and Detroit and San Diego.
“What they are doing is right and what we are doing is wrong,” Freond said. “We are not winning baseball games. We are playing a bad brand of baseball – around. Pitching, hitting, fielding.”
Rockies hopes that Senejatela can shut down the weekend on a good note. Wright has been slated to start its eighth start of the season, which is already more than the combined five in the last two sessions.
His 20th presence on Friday and the 14th start will be against the Padress. He is 8-4 with 3.26 ERA in his last 19 matches.
San Diego arrives in Denver after leaving its last two competitions of the three-game series in New York Yankiz. Padres Starter Dylan Cease made a no-hater in the seventh innings on Wednesday night, before the New York rally to win in 10 innings.
Vaske’s will try to end San Diego’s small necklace streak at the beginning of his fourth career against Colorado. He is 0–1 with 7.94 ERA in his previous outing against Rockies and ran into Denver in just 2 2/3 innings.
Padress outfielder Jackson Merryl returned to the lineup on Tuesday night after a month’s disappearance with a correct hamstring injury. He did not show any war in two matches that he has played, which is with a double, home run and two with RBI.
He was hitting .378 when he went to the injured list and improved that number. 381.
“He stayed mentally in the competition away from the competition,” said manager Mike Shield. “He stopped, he reported his scouting report almost every day to keep his mind ready. He took his physical rehabilitation seriously and was able to come back and perform near him.”
